Pub Food with Reviews, Maps and Links to their websites

Peacock Hotel

158 Christleton Rd, Chester CH3 5TD, UK – 01244 434110

Good pub in a great location serving lovely steaks on sizzling plates with SKY/BT showing every sport! New manager seems to have very high standards and there is a nice feel about the place.

Great food, prices were very reasonable and it was a lovely environment. Generous servings of pudding so I shall be returning

The Cheshire Cat

Whitchurch Rd, Christleton, Chester CH3 6AE, UK – 01244 332200

Definitely one of the better pubs in the area! Creative and traditional menu, something for everyone. Beautiful location and lovely building. After a meal we walk along the canal and chat to the boaters. I personally recommend the Stilton & mushroom starter and rhubarb gin with fevertree tonic. I wouldn't bother with the carrot cheesecake, the carrot cake bit is dry. However, I find the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Different members of the bar and service staff have gone out of their way to make me happy. It's a great place for kids and dogs are welcome in the outside seating areas. I keep going back, haven't been able to fault anything yet! It's a popular and busy pub so can often take a bit of time to be served but that doesn't detract from the experience for me!

Decent food. Very prompt service. Smart decor, but a relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Allowed us to arrange the tables in the small dog-friendly area to have our family lunch as we had a dog with us and the weather wasn't nice enough to sit outside.

The Bridge Inn

111 Tarvin Rd, Chester CH3 5EF, UK – 01244 312120

Fantastic night watching a local Band Called " Vinyl Flip " covers from 70s 80s 90s and 00s

No bells and whistles just a lovely place to have a drink

Brunning & Price Ltd

Saighton Ln, Chester CH3 6EG, UK – 01244 333100

Beautiful venues with very fine ale*, food, staff and dogs are allowed, what's not to like! Such attention to detail and quality is a rarity so thank you. *beverage of choice

Typical brunning& price beautiful lovely pub great food great beer and generally a nice place to be 😀

Brewers Fayre Twirl Of Hay

Caldy Valley Road, Boughton, Great Boughton, Chester CH3 5PR, UK – 01244 315766

We come to Twirl of Hay every nearly every week. The Atmosphere is always great the staff are fantastic, especially Colin and Jacob in the Fun Factory. My Kids love them. The food is Excellent and Amazing value. Puddings. Are excellent.

Tills go down and suddenly they can't serve food. Don't know whether I can finish my drink or leave it and go somewhere else. No staff member seems to have a clue about what to do. Had to go ask for an update and suggested they use pen and paper and guess what, that's what they're going to start doing. This was nearly an hour after we arrived. Not sure if it was laziness or stupidity (or both)!! When the food came (and it wasn't a long wait once they decided to write things down) it and the service were both really good. Just a pity they didn't deal with their situation sooner - they certainly lost a lot of business as we saw group after group leaving because of it. We were there again first thing the next morning for breakfast. Fortunately everything ran smoothly and again the food and service were both very good. lost a star because of the total lack of common sense when the tills went down.

Ring O' Bells

Village Rd, Christleton, Chester CH3 7AS, UK – 01244 335422

Excellent Sunday roast lamb, almost as good as mine! Good value at £11.95. Very welcoming friendly staff apart from 1 bar person who although polite was rather stand offish. Our party of 8 was seated in conservatory which is rather noisy. Go early on Sunday.lunchtime as very busy later on & car park packed.

Good local pub/restaurant. Staff young and helpful, food well above average. Dog friendly which is always a bonus. Kids play area at the back and lots of outside seating. Recommend highly.

Spicy.Com

106 Chester Road, Huntington, Chester CH3 6BT, UK – 01244 348557

Really nice food, a bit pricey but never disappoints, amenable staff, helpful but you do need to order in advance, yum!

Used to order from here a few years back. Recently moved into the area again so ordered and hoped all would he the same. Sadly it was not. Quite bland and seriously lacking salt. Will not be ordering again as expect much better for the high price.
