Second time I've visited the spa here I would highly recommend it. Friendly staff can't do enough to help. Treatments both time have been luxurious, fabulous therapists. We also had lunch light and healthy cake of day for dessert. Great day thank you.
The food serve in this place was amazing to say the least. The staff were warm and friendly and we had a very comfortable bed and slept perfectly. Magical entertainment provided also.

After a pleasant welcome at check in we found our room which was well appointed, could have done with a couple of more milks on the tea/coffee tray, bed was very comfortable & bathroom well appointed. Enjoyed the use of the pool area. Evening meal was most enjoyable as was the breakfast, excellent selection & coffee. Any queries we had were dealt with immediately & the offer to leave our car in the car park while we visited Chester was very considerate. I would happily recommend a Mercure hotel & would stay again.
The hotel was clean and tidy and the room was spacious. The staff were excellent especially Harry on the bar on Friday night. He was friendly and made us feel important by remembering our drinks and chatting to us. Gina in the spa was equally as good, both in her job and in how friendly she was. I would highly recommend this hotel and spa.

Honest feedback, I stayed for 3 nights, the towels were not replaced. It's not something that you should have to ask for. Other than that I have no complaints. Parking is good and there is a brewers fayre next door with a bar.
Good location, nice clean rooms and very friendly staff

Plenty of parking. Lovely children's outdoor play area and outdoor seating. Staff pleasant. Clean and friendly place. Food delicious. Would recommend a visit
Excellent Sunday roast lamb, almost as good as mine! Good value at £11.95. Very welcoming friendly staff apart from 1 bar person who although polite was rather stand offish. Our party of 8 was seated in conservatory which is rather noisy. Go early on Sunday.lunchtime as very busy later on & car park packed.

My husband and I were sceptical of this vast ranging building (old stately home) that has flung it's doors open to the masses. Previous visits weren't very satisfying and we weren't impressed with the food and drink. As we'd had a long walk along the Canal and couldn't find another coffee outlet, we sought refuge in a quiet room. The service was friendly and we enjoyed coffee and apple pie. The rooms are decorated well. We would go back during the week or on Saturday but probably avoid 'family day' on Sundays.
Definitely one of the better pubs in the area! Creative and traditional menu, something for everyone. Beautiful location and lovely building. After a meal we walk along the canal and chat to the boaters. I personally recommend the Stilton & mushroom starter and rhubarb gin with fevertree tonic. I wouldn't bother with the carrot cheesecake, the carrot cake bit is dry. However, I find the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Different members of the bar and service staff have gone out of their way to make me happy. It's a great place for kids and dogs are welcome in the outside seating areas. I keep going back, haven't been able to fault anything yet! It's a popular and busy pub so can often take a bit of time to be served but that doesn't detract from the experience for me!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Cheshire Cat. Beautiful little hotel, we stayed in the annex. Clean, well furnished and decorated and has everything you need. The food was amazing and the staff there are very friendly and extremely helpful. Hopefully we get chance to stay again!
The room was lovely, set by a canal it's a picturesque location and a lovely get away. The only thing that let it down was while waiting to check in we were stood at the check in area of the bar and completely ignored by 3 members of staff that walked past us. Basic service 101 is to acknowledge your customers, even if that's just to say "someone will be with you shortly". Don't let that take away from the reasonable price and lovely rooms/location but the staff could do with some lessons on basic care.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
Birch Bank Farm, Stamford Lane, Cotton Edmunds, Christleton, Chester CH3 7QD, UK – 01244 335233
A lovely place to stay we have stayed here four times the owners are friendly the facilities are basic but very clean what else do you need when you're camping well worth a visit
Great location, fair price, but facilities need a good clean and owners allow their dog to do its business in the camping field!
Netherwood House, Whitchurch Rd, Christleton, Chester CH3 6AF, UK – 01244 335583
Couldn't be better placed for a visit to Chester. Our favourite was to walk out the back of the site direct onto the canal & a wonderful peaceful walk into the city. New owners have greatly improved the facilities & it remains a haven of peace. Can't wait for our next visit! We are intending to have a pizza delivered next time we go.
This was our first visit in this neck of the woods and what a surprise. The campsite is such a beautiful setting with rural charm. Unlike so many campsites where you are crammed in Netherwood has lots of green space and play areas for the children. The toilets and showers spotless and everything kept tidy. An added advantage was walking distance to local shops and pubs and buses into town. The new owners made you feel very welcome nothing a bother. We will definately be back! Soon we hope
