Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rowton hall hotel. The Groupon deal offers exceptional value for money. The food was excellent, top quality (compliments to the chef) and the staff were very helpful, polite and curtious. The spa was relaxing and a nice additional touch for a weekend away. Recommended ☺
WOW! Where do I start.. We got married at Rowton Hall 2 weeks ago, the place is truly stunning!!, the feeling and welcome you get when you arrive at Rowton Hall is amazing and like no other!, the staff really do go that extra mile to ensure everything you need is met to the highest standard!. Once we had been to the wedding fayre and seen how elegant and grand the ball room looked there was no doubt this was the place for us!. We booked the wedding 2 years in advance and from start to finish Rhian our wedding coordinator was excellent and so helpful!, nothing was too much trouble to ask from Rhian and she made us both feel so relaxed in each of our meetings/emails through out the whole time!. Me and my bridesmaids stayed in the bridal suite the night before the wedding and would like to say how gorgeous the apartment is and was a great way to start the wedding celebrations!, the room was spacious and luxurious and was perfect for when we were getting our hair and make up done. The morning of the wedding I woke up to find that everything including the sweet table and present table had already been set up by Keith our toast master for the day!. This took the stress away from me and my bridesmaids having to do this before getting ready and enabled me to relax the whole morning!. Throughout the whole day I have to say me and my husband felt Keith was 1st class! And so helpful!, he made us feel relaxed and always kept us informed of what would happen next and how it would unfold, nothing was too much trouble for Keith and the effort he put in to the whole day to ensure everything ran smoothly was amazing!. The food was perfect and everyone commented on how nice it was!, Everyone of our guests felt welcomed by all of the staff and the amount of comments we’ve had noting how amazing the whole day and venue was is overwhelming. Whether it be a spa day, a nights get away or especially your wedding day I would 100% recommend Rowton Hall. I would again just like to make a special mention and Thank You to both Rhian and Keith, they are a credit to Rowton Hall and with all of Rhian’s hard work before hand and Keith’s hard work on the day they both contributed on making it the best day of our lives and more than we could of ever imagined so Thank You!. We will see you all soon when we next return!

A very nice and fresh place. The rooms have been updated and the room we were in was very clean. The staff were very friendly and polite and courteous. No problems at all except with all Premier inns is the bloody fire doors, I know they have to be there but after going in and out of the building a few times they get a bit of a pain. But overall a great experience.
Spacious and clean, albeit modest room. However, more than acceptable. What makes this hotel, however, are the staff - friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. You are made to feel wonderfully welcome and that nothing is too much trouble. If it were possible, the staff would get a score of six out of five!

One night stop. Great restaurant and bar staff. I had a very good meal, both main course and desert were spot on. My room was in an out building. Comfortable but small however, since I was asleep, who cares. Water pressure was poor from the shower. Typical English pub/hotel combination. Nice location by the canal. Good sized car park.
Many visits to this pub and never had a bad experience. Food always great and varies often. Staff polite and helpful.

Brilliant food, beautiful pub, decent pint. Only reason not 5 stars was the hit-and-miss take service. Sat waiting with empty plates, and dessert menus took 15 minutes to appear. Service when we had it was friendly and courteous, just didn't seem to be able to get it!
Fantastic pub, food is great and staff is very friendly. There is really nothing to criticise on it, superior to every other pub I've been to around Chester. Not only is the whole decor of the place extremely "gentleman"-like, it is also classy, comfortable and homely. Pizzas are fantastic.

Lovely clean hotel very friendly staff room. Was a bit noisey but it was on the front by a busy rd so to be expected. Very comfy bed and the room which was tastefully decorated was extremely clean with everything you need for a one night stay. Ideal for the forest live concerts.we wish the owners well with this fairly new adventure. The breakfast choice is excellent the food was served quickly and was a high standard.
Recently been refurbished to a high standard with new management who offer a very friendly and efficient service. They provide an excellent breakfast and brunch menu which is very nice. As well as this, they provide a lovely roast calvary on a Sunday. The background music they have is a really good mix and adds to the friendly atmosphere. The outdoor area round the back of the building is really lovely and looks over the fields which is nice. Even though it is on the busy A41 road you don't really notice the noise of the road. Would absolutely recommend for food and although I have not stayed I believe the rooms have been refurbished to a high standard as well. I think it is probably one of the best hotels in the local area if you are staying.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
